Eversion: "Lego Truck"
35.3 W x 40.3 H x 1.3”. Acrylic on canvas.
Eversion 2015-2017. Heavily reliant on process for the visual outcome. These paintings have had the entire thick paint layer peeled off a substrate as one, and then flipped over and permanently bonded to a prepared canvas. Mistakes and do-overs, erasures and repaints, scratching away the paint, smudging it off with turpentine… things that commonly happen within the practice of painting which are usually covered up, are all visible and celebrated. The end result perspective is inside-out, revealing what is hidden.
Chaotic and crammed full of action. This piece is a strong example of the layering process involved in the making of these paintings. It’s been scrubbed, scratched and scraped, all recorded without fail.
After purchase, a shipping quote will be produced and emailed to the buyer with a transparent breakdown of the cost. Insurance, tracking and signature upon delivery will necessarily be included.
